Australian immigration department has provided 24 hours a day free online service to individuals having Australia visa and registered Australian organizations to check visa entitlements and status information. This service is known as VEVO (Visa Entitlement Verification Online). Through this service individual and Organizations can manage account and they have rights to reset or restore lost username and password of VEVO system. Individual and organizations need to register to this self service to check online status.
During the registration process of VEVO, visa holders and organizations can get visa entitlements and status though emails service. The registration process of VEVO application completed within five working days. While you wait for your registration to be processed, the visa holder(s) can send you their current visa entitlements directly from our VEVO Email service. Any update received from online VEVO system must be considered valid constitute under Australian Migration Law.
The VEVO service facilitate the registered Australian based organizations to check the status or entitlements of visa of individuals registered with particular Registered Migration Agents (RMAs), company owners, employment agencies, education contributors, financial organizations and government agencies. The registered organizations have rights to check the status or entitlements of visa of individuals applied for different types of visa i.e. work, study or any kind of licenses and access to government facilitation's such as Medicare.
Only Australian based organizations are entitled to register and using this online VEVO Service and outside Australia and Foreign governments are not eligible to register or use this service. The VEVO service provider check the particular organization whether the organizations fulfill the business requirement. Australian based organizations not well aware about this service and still not using this service can register any time by filling simple online registration form. The registered organizations can use this VEVO Service without any expiry problem.
The Australian based registered migration agents who wish to register and avail the facilities of VEVO service must have an Australian Business Number (ABN). The Registered migration agents also operating their services outside the Australia should contact to VEVO service provider, instructions and necessary steps required for registration of VEVO service will be issued to concerned registered migration agents. The educational institutions wish to use this service must provide Commonwealth and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) number.
The individuals holding visa and have visa label in passport need not to register with VEVO service. The VEVO service provides full confirmation and progress of current visa information and entitlements. The individuals registered with VEVO service can inquire visa and application status by using Query Application Status.
